Simmering Potpourri
Unlike dry potpourri, simmering potpourri is warmed over low heat on your stovetop. You’ll probably have most of the ingredients on-hand, so it’s a simple way to make your entire house smell heavenly.
Simmering Potpourri
2 cups water
One lemon, sliced with peel
1 teaspoon whole cloves
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
2 bay leaves
Place all ingredients into a small saucepan. Place on the stovetop, uncovered, and bring to a simmer. Turn down to very low heat and hold at a slow simmer. The potpourri will release its scent as it simmers. Cool and discard when through.
